I received what appeared to be a nice compilment on my blog. When I tracked back, the blogger's profile was blank. A "forum" was attached that took me to a "sex" site.

Needless to say, I am not happy. Advice wanted: do I let people know the name of the blogger so "it" can be avoided or do I just delete it? Can it be blocked?

Yeah, you were spammed. I got a ton of those before I turned my word verification on for my comments. They ranged from sex sites to gardening sites but the comments were all the same, generically nice with a link to what they said was a related topic. (which wasn't, I don't talk about sex, gardening, or herbal medicine alternatives on my blog)
Their profiles, always blank.
When I tried to figure out their wherabouts through my site counter it was alway someplace like Indonesia or Thailand. Really, I think it's a computer program that hunts for blogs without word verification and automatically posts comments.
Sorry you were spammed.

Thanks Jodi. I thought I had word verification turned on there but it turns out I didn't. Now, I know what it's good for. I turned it on and deleted the comment. Always something new to learn.
