The Soundtrack of Your Life

Here's an interesting twist on the cliched "If Hollywood made a film about your life, who would play you?" question: If Hollywood made a film about your life, what would be on the soundtrack?

It's a question that was fairly popular on an old message board I frequented and was put to me again by S. months ago.

The replies are often quite fun to read. You can learn a lot about someone by the soundtrack they create for themselves.

Great question Andy!

Mine applies with both setting and theme, in this order:
1. Sister Golden Hair ~for the year I was born
2. Hit me with your best shot-Pat Benetar~would cover grammer school
3. Shameless- Garth Brooks~for Junior High
4. Just like Heaven- The Cure~ For my High School years
5. Possesion (acoustic)- Sarah McLachlan~ For my post HS/slacker years
6. Down so long-Jewel~ My Louisiana years
7. Save me- Aimee Mann~For the beginning of the millineum
8. Toast-Tori Amos~ would just about cover the last few years

I'm not very good at remembering the names of most songs, but these are my favorites:

Brown Eyed Girl – Van Morrison – My daughter

Amazing Grace – Any bagpiped version – Because God has spoken to me on several occasions and saved my ass.

Free Bird – Lynyrd Skynyrd – For my drunken and debauched college years.

I’m A Believer – The Monkees – My Wedding song.

The Blue Danube – Johann Strauss Jr. – Growing up surrounded by the Austrian alps.

Rhiannon – Fleetwood Mac – For when I’m feeling witchy.

How Do You Like Me Now? – Toby Keith – Now, because I just pretty much don’t give a shit about what people think of me now.
